I'm Shaina, the designer behind Tidepool Studio. I grew up loving fashion and print, studied design, and have spent the last eight years working in the fashion industry across a wide range of brands and product. I spent five years running my own label, Arlo & Olive, from the ground up. That experience taught me more than any classroom could: how to develop a range that actually works, how to talk to factories, how to solve the hundred small problems that come up between a sketch and a finished garment.

These days I bring all of that to the brands and startups I work with, offering design development, tech packs, print and textile design, and production support to help turn ideas into industry-ready ranges.

When I'm not at my desk, you'll usually find me in the ocean, surfing is where a lot of my print inspiration comes from, and it keeps me grounded in the laid-back, coastal energy that is the DNA in everything I make.

  • I offer end-to-end design support including CAD’s, print and textile design, range development, tech packs, and general production support. Whether you need one piece of the puzzle or the whole process managed, I can tailor my services to fit.

  • I work with a mix of established brands and startups. From labels needing an experienced hand for a single collection, to founders launching their very first range and needing guidance through the whole process.

  • A tech pack is the technical blueprint that tells a factory exactly how to construct your garment: measurements, materials, construction details and more. If you're manufacturing at any scale, a clear tech pack saves time, money in sampling and a lot of back-and-forth with your factory. It's one of my most popular services.

  • Yes. A lot of my clients are launching their first collection and need help turning an idea into something production-ready. I can guide you through concept, development and documentation so you walk away with a range that's ready to manufacture.
